Luton town men's 3 visited Stevenage for a late am game. The first fixture resulted in a very heavy loss for town so the outlook for this game wasn't positive especially as town had their stand in keeper Dean Gates in goal However town had their regular outfield players and have been putting in some good performances just lately. It was therefore surprising that this game was not a roll over on the contrary town took the game to Stevenage and scored first. Town continued to dominate but a lack of concentration let Stevenage through on a breakaway, their centre forward slotting home from close range. Half time 1-1. Town made a few tactical adjustments and pressed hard again in the second half. Towns midfield shifted up a gear with crisp passing and movement. Emerging youngster Luke whiting again won man of the match for excellent passing, tackling and a desire to do whatever it took to help the team get a win. Town peppered the Stevenage goal with shots and were awarded several short corners. It wasn't long before town were 5-1 up and cruising. Stevenage scored their second goal from a powerful shot from a short corner. The keeper had it covered until it took a deflection and slammed into the back board. Towns scorers were Iian Starkey, Matt Dobson, Perri DCruz, Ryan Siddons and Damien Bunting. Towns defence should also get a mention as they only allowed 5 shots all game.
