The Men’s 3s returned to winning ways for the first time for a month (2 losses and a postponement) with a close affair against Hertford Academy.
Pav Sagoo opened the scoring early into the opening period, Hertford then struck back almost immediately. Following their goals Hertford continued to mount the pressure with a Penalty Corner, forcing a left hand save from Ross Edwards, taking up the pads in Mick Ashby’s absence.
With both teams evenly match at the half time break, Luton Town started the second half with more vigour and maintained a higher pressure forcing the Hertford back line into some sloppy passing.
Dean Pierce restored the lead after a few minutes. Luton Town again gave up the lead with Hertford on the attack, a quickly take free hit was soon pushed goalward and Ross could only parry the ball to a Hertford attacker so had only Ross to beat.
Luton Town were again in the ascendency and finally scored through Dave Neale, thankfully this time there was not enough time for Hertford to strike back.
