A continued run of good form in the new year saw Luton 2's victorious 3-1 against West Herts 4's. An open game was well taken advantage of by Luton as Kev Stewart got a good deflection from a short corner and found the back of the net. However West Herts weren't fazed by this and applied more pressure and in return won a short corner, an awkward shot from this slipped inside the post putting the match equal again within minutes. It was still an open game going into halftime but neither side where able to break the final line of each others defenses. Luton came out strong in the second half as substitutes kept their game strong and quick which was complimented by a good attack well finished off by Carter Bright from the top of the D, leaving the keeper with no chance. Again West Herts applied the pressure in search of the equaliser but Luton stayed resilient and a late deflected goal from a short corner again from Kev Stewart sealed the victory.
