Luton Town got off to a flying start in their game against Welwyn Garden City, with a first minute goal from Nathan McNeil giving the home side the lead. Town thought they had doubled their advantage 12 minutes later, with another Nathan McNeil goal disallowed by the umpires.
Welwyn picked up their play after this disallowed goal, but Luton were able to hold them off until the very stroke of half time when a mis-hit shot from a short corner bobbled between goalkeeper Thomas Briggs legs, making the score level at the Break.
Luton struggled to find form in the second half and after carelessly giving away possession, they found themselves conceding once more from a Short Corner. This goal did fire the home side back into life however, with sustained attacking possession throughout the last 20 minutes of the match. Despite coming close to a goal with efforts from Nathan McNeil and Nikhil Dodhia, Luton could not find an equaliser leaving the score at a disappointing 1-2 at the full time whistle, and a disappointing end to a game that the home side would feel they should have won.
Young Star Ryan Siddons was awarded Man Of The Match for his attacking runs.
