Match Report 3rd February Luton Town Men's 4s vs Southgate Tankards Z

After a great performanc & an unlucky 1-0 loss last week, Luton were hoping to for another good showing this week against 5th team in the league Southgate Tankards Z.
The game started pretty evenly as both teams created opportunities to score. One Luton attack led to a shot that was stopped by a defenders foot & a penalty flick was awarded.
Justin Coward stepped up to take it & easily scored.
The game continued to be back & forth between both team, but a Southgate short corner let to their first goal.
Not long after the first, Southgate were awarded another short corner & scored again.
Halftime the score was 2-1.
The second continued a lot like the first & with multiple chances from both teams.
The two central midfield players for Luton, Justin Coward & Dan Mckinnon, as well as Steven Pierce really trying to get a goal to tie the game.
Eventually the ball was passed to a returning Robin Barnes, who scored & tied the game at 2-2.
Unfortunately for Luton, centre back Ian Hutton had to come off due to injury & with less than two minutes to go, Southgate manager to get their third goal.
The match ended 3-2 to Southgate.
The team unanimously voted that both Justin Coward & Dan Mckinnon were join man of the match after the game.
