After 3 losses in a row, the Luton men's 4s were hoping for a win this week. With a squad of 15 players gave Luton the confidence to go out & beat a 10 man Southgate team.
After multiple chances at goal, Luton took the lead with a goal from Bryn Owen, thanks to a great pass from Zak Sharif.
Not long after Alfie Hutton ran up the pitch with the balls & delivered a perfect pass to Kieran Nixon put into the back of the goal.
Southgate managed to make a counter attack & attempted a strike on goal, but is was easily dealt with by goalkeeper Kyle Beirne.
Going into half time the game was 2-0 to Luton.
In the second half Luton made multiple attempts to extend the lead, with some great crosses from both Alfie Hutton & Ben Le Feuvre.
An unfortunate injury to a Southgate player left them with only 9 men out n the pitch, which made easier for Luton to defend any attacks.
Eventually after a pass into the D by Bryn Owen, Ben Le Feuvre managed to extend the lead to 3-0.
Zak Sharif was voted man of the match for constantly influencing the attack, but also getting back to cover in defence.
