Luton town men's 3 hosted st Alban's 7's on a hot sunny morning. Both teams were evenly matched and it was a nail biting game to watch. Both teams had their chances but the defence was well up to the task on both sides. It therefore fell to a quick breakaway by st Alban's that caught town out, a little bit of luck that in the flurrie of tackles the ball fell to an Alban's player who smashed it home. With the pressure mounting mid way through the second half both teams had players sin binned for reckless stick tackles. Town had chances late on with a couple if short corners with Ryan Siddons coming closest with an excellent strike which went the wrong side of the post. Final score 1-0 to st Alban's. Due to the effort of everyone in this game and no one giving up captain Dean Gates decided to award man of the match to the whole team.
