Luton Town men's 3s vs Letchworth 4's

Luton town men's 3 hosted Letchworth 4s on a sunny but cold February morning. Captain Dean Gates won the coin toss and elected to change ends so town were playing with their backs to a low bright sun. This paid off with town pursuing their normal style of play. However the umpires were in no mood for a physical game which saw Ian Hutton green carded early for a soft challenge. Town pressed on and were rewarded with a short corner which Perri buried in the corner. The game continued to flow with towns defense mopping up most of the attacks. Special mention goes to Joe our goalie who pulled off some good saves by quick and decisive decision making. Half time and for once town were ahead. Second half and into the sun played a team on a mission led my man of the match Clive Whittle who controlled the midfield with excellent stick control and good passing. A second short corner was Perris second of the day which was soon followed by goals by Damien Bunting and Clive. Although late into the season towns men's 3 have settled into a team with a regular roster producing good hockey.
