We ‘really’ earned that point!

I knew it was going to be a tough match when after some very last minute changes Robin said he was putting himself on the subs bench.. and so it came to pass. It certainly wasn’t a game for the pureists. However, it was a match full of grit & determination as the team, especially the defence, put in a real shift.

Bishops Stortford launched multiple attacks into our D that a number were upgraded to penalty corners which thankfully we either stopped, saved or they missed. In honesty our goal keeper was leading a charmed life. When called upon Kyle pulled out great saves and deserved his MOTM accolade. Only one rare successful penalty corner in their D in the second half which Syed did all the hard work and with the goal at his mercy sadly just missed.

The game ended 0-0; we were so unlucky not to come out with more.

We go again next week, hopefully with key members back into our team.
