After five minutes, we sadly were down to ten outfield players following an ill judged attempt at an ariel. That resulted in, Anthony May being hit on the top of his head from approximately 5 feet, thankfully a doctor was on the St Albans side and after a delay the game resumed.
Luton did well to hold the score to 0-0 with the two Ian's aided by Charlie and Rory stopping the majority of attacks until St Albans did manage to break through they found Kyle in great form.
After the break, we were back up to eleven players as Faz joined joined the action quickly, he was unlucky not to score, as was Syed on multiple occasions as Luton started to dominate the match.
The deadlock was broken by a sweeping move between Charlie, Jamie and Mark found Alfie in the D and for the first time that morning their goalie failed to stop it going into his net.
Midway though the 2nd half there was another injury delay, as one of St Albans younger players was injured and carried off the pitch. Ten minutes later, Luton should have increased their lead when we were awarded a flick, up stepped Iain Starkey to take it but their goalie guessed the right way and sadly it wasn't to be.
Nearing the end of the match rolling back the years Ian Hutton surprised everybody (including himself) by producing a berba spin to get himself out of a tight spot which started off yet another attack by the impressive Charlie feeding our forwards who again were foiled St Albans goalie.
A great result; especially pleasing to see that the work on our formation is starting to improve our all all round play.
