With sprits high from the friendlies and with a nearly full squad, Luton Town men’s 2s face Vauxhall 1s.
The game started off with everyone in high alert and raring to go all in for their first league game. The possession of the ball was shared between Luton and Vauxhall, all trying to keep the ball and manoeuvring it into the D for the vital shot to make a difference in the score.
Luton skilfully play the ball up the pitch where John Hathaway smacked it in to be given more humph by Matt Dobson in the D scoring Luton’s first and only goal of the game.
With Luton on a high from their goal and Vauxhall trying hard to get a goal to even up the score and have a chance at winning. Just minutes before the whistle blows for half time Vauxhall score the equalising goal from a great shot from a short corner.

With Luton and Vauxhall all ready to get going trying to get another goal to get in the lead. Luton’s player Dave Moon getting a yellow card for a back stick and being sent off for 5 minutes. Shortly after Mark Plane also gets a yellow and is sent off for 5 minutes leaving Luton with only 9 players on pitch. The game was stopped for an unfortunate injured Vauxhall player who was hit in the collar bone by Clive Whittle’s ariel.
As Luton and Vauxhall are fighting for the possession of the ball to try and get a final goal for the win. The whistle blows signalling the end of the game standing at Luton 1-1 Vauxhall.
