The game started slowly and both teams had obviously been away from the pitch for too long. Berkhampstead managed to work gaps in Lutons midfield and exploited a lack of communication to steal an early lead. The goal did wake Luton up however they still weren't working well as a unit and again Berkhampstead managed to counter and score with very little possession of the ball. The half ended 2-0. After the break Luton came out flying looking much more like the team that had gone into the Christmas break on strong form. This momentum carried through to well worked goal from Carter Bright. However once again Luton switched off and Berkhampstead scored a third. With under 15 minutes remaining Luton scored from a short corner through David Pike, but it was not enough and they did not have the will to get the point or even the win. The game ended 3-2 to Berkhampstead and Luton will have a lot of work to do if they wish to improve for next week.
