Luton hold onto 1 goal lead after a nervy last 20 minutes saw them go down to 10 men.

The Men’s 1st team, looking to break a poor run of form faced a Stevenage 1st XI looking to take advantage.
Luton starting with the better chances out of the two side, but in similar fashion to recent weeks, a defensive lapse saw Luton go behind after 15 minutes of the game. Luton slowly grew into the game, creating more chances and limiting Stevenage to chances on the break. Within 10 minutes of going behind Luton got themselves back into the game with a very cool finish from youngster Jack Madden. The initial shot from Carter Bright was well saved but the rebound fell to Madden, who calmly put to ball into his reverse and flicked over the keeper to leave him with no chance.
The equaliser lifted the team with Luton slowly starting to work through the gears, creating chances and looking like the better team, whilst Stevenage continued to pose a threat on the break. Luton took full advantage of this period to go 2-1 up from a Short Corner. Carter Bright picking up the ball after an initial save from the Stevenage GK, and finding the roof of the net via a kind deflection from a Stevenage defender.
Luton continued to up the pressure on Stevenage to extend the lead even further before half time. Chances fell to the Luton forwards, with the most notable chance before the end of the half falling to Centre Back Anwar Yusuf, on a rare adventure into the opposition "D" found the his effort well saved at the near post.
The second half started well for Luton, who were by no means resting on their laurels after a good end to the first half. Just 5 minutes into the second half Luton found themselves 3-1 up thanks to Captain Bryn Owen. A well worked move saw the ball end with Owen to the left of the goal to finish into an empty goal.
Luton looked comfortable, meanwhile Stevenage kept fighting, and constantly reminded Luton the game was far from over with fast counter attacking play, keeping the midfield and defence on their toes. Eventually after a series of Short Corners, Stevenage pulled one back. The decision to award the Short Corner for the goal was very questionable, but Stevage converted regardless, with a smart flick beating the Luton GK to his right.
The game was nervy at 3-2 with Luton desperate to hold onto the lead, there was a sense of a shift in balance over towards Stevenage for the final 20 minutes of the game with Luton now hanging on. Shortly after conceding their second, Luton also went down to 10 men with David Pike seeing a yellow for a mistimed tackle inside the "D" giving away a short corner.
Luton held on for this period with some great discipline and started to look more comfortable when back to 11 men. Both sides continued to create chances forcing both goalkeepers into making top saves. With Luton's best chance falling to Cameron Sarrington, rounding the keeper, but finding himself wide of the goal an instinctive spin and flick back towards goal was brilliantly cleared of the line by a Stevenage defender. Whilst Stevenage should have capitalised on what potentially was a costly mistake with Luton giving the ball away inside their own half under little pressure, leaving the Stevage forward a clear run on goal, but a quick recovery from Carter Bright, saw him prevent an effort on goal, whilst giving away a short corner Stevenage couldn't take advantage from.
Luton final five minutes saw Luton look a lot more comfortable, keeping the ball well, and holding on to the lead. 3-2 to Luton.
Man of the Match: Tom Dobson. Brilliant performance to keep Luton in the game in the second half on his return from injury.
