Luton Ladies 2s on the road again to Aylesbury to play against Berkhamsted & Hemel. First half, with no real highlights to speak of finished 0-0 into the break with Luton really not playing their best hockey, just not being able to get hold of the ball in a positive way and make the goals happen. After a good half-time motivational chat however Luton were finally able to get the passing and moving of the ball a lot better with Emma Halsey breaking the deadlock with her 5th goal of the season. Luton now with their heads up, and the home team perhaps getting a bit frustrated, Luton were soon able to add another goal, this time from midfielder Lindsey Bierton with her first goal of the season. Luton carrying on the attack, perhaps not still playing to their best, but each player now with a bit more determination than at the start to keep their clean sheet and try and definitely secure this win. The third goal came from Katie Gray, a well deserved goal (her second of the season) after her usual hard work on the pitch also earning her man of the match.
Should though mention the good work of the leaf blowers before the match- and thanks Gale for the team tissues
The team, moving up to third in the league table, but a game in hand for the teams above, can now enjoy some home matches with St Albans 7s visiting next week
