The one where

Luton Ladies 2s away at Broxbourne this weekend feeling confident, even with just 10 players (though one with broken rib and one with an old girl hip problem) they knew that it wouldn’t be easy.
Luton started well again, and within 10 mins were able to get the first short corner of the game. The ball injected in by Helen Beattie to Katie Gray to stop it, into the D for a strike. Saved by the Broxbourne GK, bit onto the stick of Emma Halsey on the post to tap it in. The early goal was exactly what Luton needed to take some of the pressure off. However, Broxbourne were not going to make it easy, and for a team at the bottom of the league they were able to get some good breaks and scoring their fist goal, very similar to that of Luton’s goal from a short corner and simple tap in. A frustrated Luton team, played as strong as ever and found the lead with the second goal being scored for them by an unfortunate Broxbourne player. 2-1 up
Luton has to keep this lead, but with 10 players, they were finding it difficult to keep the shape at the back. Broxbourne took full advantage with a simple tap in from open play to make it 2-2
Luton needed to get the lead back, and with a game that was fast, and end to end, finally Helen Beattie was able to find space in the D from a cross from Katie Gray and slap hit the ball into goal. Luton 3-2 up in th first half.
The second half, play finally slowed down a lot with all players on both teams tired. They were woken up with a sudden wind and rain storm with possibly the coldest rain ever. The second half with lots of end to end play, but no goals.

Final whistle, a very happy Luton team with another 3 points. No man of the match vote this week as everyone put everything that they could into the whole match.
