The ladies 2s returned to action, more than a month after their last match on the 3rd Dec.
Dod nomination came before the game even started with GK Amii getting caught in the velcro of her kit and having to be assisted by two team members into her kit.
The team brought two players out of retirement and took a full team out to Bishops Stortford, with stand in captain HB taking the lead, and winning the toss, to defend with back to the low sun.
Bishops Stortford, however, were attacking from the whistle, with GK Amii making an amazing top of fingertip save, to put the ball over the top of the net, within minutes.
Regrouping and rearranging a few positions, Luton pulled back, eventually with HB aiming a ball at the goal, hoping for a touch from a striker, finding herself directly on the scoresheet as it bobbled over the line, missed by everyone, including the opposition defence.
The second half was end to end, with Lutons defence performing amazing clearance work, and player of the match, Emma Halsey making superb runs up the pitch.
Luton held on to the end, as they want to go on, winning 1 nil.
