Luton Town ladies continued their unbeaten run in the league with a 4-4 dramatic stalemate away to Harpenden.
Town looked comfortable in the early exchanges after scoring two early goals from Charlotte Dunham and Suzanne Starkey. Both goals coming through open play meant that Luton were playing with ample confidence in the first half.
However, Harpenden come out strongly at the beginning of the second half seeing the away team conceding two goals in quick succession, denting Luton's confidence. Harpenden sensed Town were on the back foot. Applying more pressure on Luton's defence, Harpenden were quick to capitalised by going 3 - 2 ahead.
With 20 minutes remaining Luton were determined to stay in it and brought themselves level through a second goal from Suzanne Starkey.
Time was ticking and after some very controversial umpiring Town found themselves down to 10 but battled on. Their hunger was rewarded moments later with an inspirational goal from an extremely tight angle from Suzanne Starkey to complete her hat-trick. Yet Town were unable to hold on for victory and Harpenden found the net again to level the game.
