Luton Town ladies 1st XI put in a confident and impressive opening day performance to beat St Albans 3-0. Suzanne Starkey opened the scoring towards the end of the first half after town had numerous opportunities.
With town dominating but unable to add to the score line St Albans had the chance to level from a short corner mid way through the second half. But the home teams defence was solid and enabled town to break away and double the lead through Charlotte Dunham.
Victory was wrapped up with the final touch of the ball from Suzanne Starkey, scoring from a well worked short corner which fooled the opposition.
