Two young and inspiring women, Jordan Homann and Ella Dagnall, recognised and rewarded at the Annual Luton Sports Networks Awards Ceremony.

I felt truly honored and proud, not only to have been nominated by my club but to have won representing them. I cannot thank everyone enough for all the on and off field support - I’m honoured to be apart of such a special club.
- Ella Dagnall

With Ella only being back from the down under for little less than a year, she certainly hasn't wasted any time in making a tremendous impact back in her hometown and club, Luton Town Hockey Club. In her short time back she’s returned as the Ladies Club Captain, Membership Secretary, and junior coaching and even stepping in to help out as a coach at senior training sessions for the development teams – on top of all of that she’s made the Help for Heroes national team! I’m exhausted just thinking of all of that…

Just a few of those roles and commitments would be enough for most, and rightly so, but in true Dagnall fashion, Ella has taken all of these roles on with passion, determination, and true conviction. Oh, and she’s doing a stellar job at them all too.

Taking that all into account is it a surprise that the Luton Sports Network decided to recognise her efforts with the Club Member of the Year? Of course not! Huge congratulations Ella, truly well deserved.

With English and GB women's hockey game at its pinnacle following the Women’s GB Hockey golden success in the Rio Olympic Games, you can imagine competition how tough it is if you're aspiring to represent your country? That’s what makes former junior and ladies 1st XI player, Jordan Homann, recent achievement even more special. Recently, Jordan has been selected for the England Hockey’s U18 Women’s team -- well done Jordan! This now makes it the second national age group that Jordan has represented for England after representing England Hockey’s U16 Women’s for the past 18 months.

Earlier this season the junior academy players at Luton Town were honored to meet Jordan when she made a special guest appearance at junior training. As you can imagine, all the kids wanted selfie’s with the England U18 starlet, part from selfie’s they also wanted to learn too.

Given her recent success, Jordan was crowned Young Sports Women of the Year, again another well-deserved award!

We’re all behind you at Luton Town Hockey, Jordan, we definitely cannot wait to see you at Tokyo 2020! Jordan is currently playing her hockey at National Conference standard, representing Southgate HC.
