After a 2-2 draw against 2nd in the league Blueharts last week, Luton had to take on 3rd in the league Letchworth 5s.
Luton started strong & before long were able to take the lead thanks to a pass after a short corner from Liam Bloomfield to Alfie Hutton who scored his 1st goal of the season.
Letchworth tried to come back at Luton but were unable to get passed the Luton defence & before long, Luton were able to extend their lead with with another short corner & a pass from Tom Quested to set up Sam Coombes.
Unfortunately for Luton, Letchworth were able to get a goal back before the end of the 1st half to make it 2-1 going into halftime.
The 2nd half was more of the same from both teams, with attacks from both teams, including some great runs from Nikhil Dodhia & Liam Bloomfield.
This was until Sam Coombes found himself in the D to get his 2nd goal of the game & extend Luton’s lead.
Luton were able to keep Letchworth from scoring for a while but unfortunately they were able to get their 2nd goal to make it 3-2.
The Luton team then decided to try & keep the ball as far away from their D as possible to try & keep hold of their lead, but Letchworth were able to get themselves a short corner, which was cleared off the line by Luton.
The game end 3-2 to Luton, which bow puts them 3rd in the league with 7 games to go.
MoM was Nikhil Dodhia.
